Citing US Code, Title 18, section 1084 (d), the State of Minnesota has attempted to block access to gambling websites for their state’s residents.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety and Gambling Enforcement Division – released a 2 page memo demanding internet service providers prohibit access between state residents and “illegal gambling websites.”
In the memo, John Williams – director of AGED says:
“We are putting site operators and Minnesota online gamblers on notice and in advance. Disruption of these sites’ cash flow will negatively impact their business model. State residents with online escrow accounts should be aware that access to their accounts may be jeopardized and their funds in peril.”
